Wow, I guess there’s no accounting for taste when it comes to hotel rooms these days. You take one look at this hallway entrance and it just screams hipster – not to say that there’s anything wrong with that. The hipster culture is creating or at least defining a new urban chic style, which is mostly a clumping from or borrowing of other styles to mix and match together – a little hippie, a little grunge, a little vintage, scraps from here and there. It’s a younger style that appeals to a younger crowd, so I don’t think it’s something that we would want to incorporate into our daily design lexicon, but shouldn’t be ignored. It’s cute. And most likely from another design hotel / artists hotel.
In recent years there has been quite a lot of interest and the renewed sense of creating more exciting hotel rooms for people to enjoy, no longer is the hotel simply a place to rest your head at night while traveling but it is a destination in and of itself. Travel is of course one of my favorite topics and I will be covering it in much more detail later on. Until then.
My personal preference is for something a little more timeless, not sure I could actually spend the night here, reminds me somewhat of an earlier post on the room with the screaming lady, really?
